“Music is in everyone.”
ADAM GYORGY
Our story
The roots of the Adam Gyorgy Foundation go back to 2006, when concert pianist Adam Gyorgy began giving master classes across Asia. He met young musicians with remarkable talent, often with limited access to the training and opportunities they needed to develop it.
Adam had received important support early in his own career, and wanted to create the same kind of opportunity for others.
That led to the Adam Gyorgy Castle Academy, founded in 2009 in his hometown of Pomáz, Hungary. The Academy brought together talented young pianists, leading teachers, mentors, and supporters from around the world. Scholarships helped students take part, while the programme gave them space to learn, perform, build confidence, and grow as musicians.
Over time, a wider community formed around the Academy, with supporters and events spanning Hungary, Indonesia, Singapore, New York, and beyond.
That community eventually became the Adam Gyorgy Foundation, created to expand access to music education and help talented young musicians develop their potential.
Today, the Foundation supports young musicians through its academies, the Liszt Competition, performances, mentorship, and other opportunities to learn, connect, and be heard.
Our purpose remains simple:
To help the next generation grow through music, and give talented young people the support and opportunities to go further.
